Christmas Carol Service at Wikon Church

An English Christmas Carol Service in English will be held for the 13th time on Wednesday, 12th December 2012 at 8pm, at the Bruder Klaus-Kirche Wikon.

Do you like singing? Why not join us in putting on a traditional English Carol Service in Wikon Church. You don’t need to be English to come and sing with us.

If you are interested, Anna Merz would love to hear from you. She will be leading choir practice on Wednesday from 19.30 – 21.30 in the BZZ (Mehrzweckraum). We begin on 31st October 2012. For more information contact Anna on 062 752 15 34.

If you would prefer just to come along to the evening, you will also be very welcome. Pastor Burkhard Kremer from Zofingen will be taking the service. Hans Egg will be accompanying us on the organ. After the service, which will last about an hour, there will be tea, coffee and cake in the Pfarreisaal. Entry is free – there will be a retiring collection.

Christmas Carol Service in Wikon

Am Mittwoch, 12. Dezember 2012, um 20 Uhr findet wiederum ein traditioneller English Carol Service in der Kirche Wikon statt. Der Gottesdienst wird in englischer Sprache durchgeführt, ist aber sicher auch für Nicht-Englischsprechende eine Bereicherung. In England wird in der Weihnachtszeit immer viel gesungen, in der Kirche und auch zu Hause.

Nach dem geglückten Versuch im 2011 ist auch dieses Jahr ein Chorsingen geplant. Jedermann und Jedefrau ist herzlich zum Mitsingen von ein paar mehrstimmigen wunderschönen Carols eingeladen. Geprobt wird unter der Leitung von Anna Merz jeweils am Mittwoch, von 19:30–21:30 Uhr im Mehrzweckraum des BZZ. Die erste Probe findet am 31. Oktober 2012 statt. Pfarrer Burkhard Kremer aus Zofingen leitet den Gottesdienst, Hans Egg wird Orgel spielen. Der Gottesdienst dauert ca. 1 Stunde und danach wird Kaffee, Tee und Gebäck im Pfarreisaal serviert. Eintritt frei – Türkollekte.
